Maybe You Should Consider Staying Away

Yesterday, before I left out the house I didn't eat breakfast, but during the course of my day I ate McDonalds twice. When I left my house I left with a vitamin water and my grandmother said to me"you not going to eat anything before you leave" and "I said to her no I'm not really hungry right now, but I am going to eat later" so she says "ok." When I first went to McDonalds I order a Quarter Pounder with mayo, cheese, and tomatoes, Medium Fries, and a Medium Sprite for the drink. While, eating my food I took a chicken nugget from my friend. A few hours after eating McDonalds I ate a Pecan Swiss Roll. Once some time went buy I started to feel hungry again, so my friends and I drove around looking for some where else to eat since we had McDonalds earlier in the day. My friend and I couldn't find anything else to eat so we decided to go back to McDonalds. When we to McDonalds for the second time I order a Crispy BLT sandwich with mayo, cheese, bacon and tomatoes, Large Fries, and Large Sprite for the drink.
I think I can actually compare my diet to Morgan Spurlock. I can actually compare my diet to Morgan Spurlock in "Super Size Me" because he ate McDonalds for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. Yesterday, I ate McDonalds twice, which isn't consider healthy due to the way the food is cooked.

I feel like my diet is a product of Toxic Environment because it isn't healthy. I think if I made the choice to eat healthy I could. The only reason I eat the way I do is because I'm always out the house for instance, yesterday, I didnt eat breakfast because I was in a rush to leave the house. I ate McDonalds twice because my friend and I were out and he was driving. I also eat a lot of carry out because there's times when my grandmother doesn't feel like cooking and we order carry out. I probably eat carry out about 4 times a week.

Anonymous Caller

I agree that the residents of "Double Deuce" should have anonymously called the police to inform them of the goings-on at their apartment complex. I agree because the detectives were being nofitied, but the police had no idea of the goings-on. For example, Hawk asked Erin Macklin to help him find out who killed Devona Jefferson and her baby. According to Hawk, "Because I want to know who killed her." "And when you know" said Erin? "Depends. If there's evidence we'll give it to the cops" said Hawk. "If there isn't" said Erin. "We'll see, "said Hawk. " Would you take some sort of action yourself" said Erin. Instead of Hawk asking for help he could have went to the police and informed them that Devona and her baby was killed in a drive by. They don't tell the cops because they feel like the police has to protect all people not just one neighborhood and nothing will be solved. The detectives and the police would have gone about solving the crime in the same way, but calling the police would have been better because supects would have been locked up.

"Double Deuce"

When I first brought "Double Deuce" I thought, the book was going to be boring, but once I started reading it I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the book because I like the fact that Hawk and Spenser worked together to find out who killed Devona and her baby. For example, Hawk and Spenser spent most of their time waiting in car watching to see what the gang members were going to do. Once Hawk and Spenser started to find out names, they were determine to find more information. This shows me that they were deciated to their job.

I Think I Understand

As I watched the second episode of "The Baby Borrowers" I saw that taking care of a baby isn't easy. For example, Kelsey thought she was ready to have a baby until she had to deal with Etta. Once Sean had to leave for work she told him she was sick. I think she told him she was sick because she felt like she couldn't take care of the baby by herself. After a while, Etta mom then came over and had a talk with Kelsey. She told Kelsey when she has a child she can't just can't check out on the baby meaning just because she is sick doesn't mean the baby doesn't need her. The baby needs that mother bond no matter how the mother is feeling.
If I had a child my social life would change because I wouldn't be able to do what I want anymore. I say I wouldn't be able to do what I want because having a baby is a big responsibilty. Once I have a baby I won't be able to go out how I want, stay out late, or even work the hours I want to. I won't be able to go out because my baby will need me there for him/her.
If I had a baby I would probably take online classes to further my education. I would take online classes because I wouldn't want to send my baby to a babysitter at such an early age. I feel this way because once you start sending your baby to the babysitter they tend to get spoiled very fast.
My friend thought she was ready to have a baby a now she has one and feels like she is wasting her time doing nothing. Once she found out she was pregnant she told her mom and her mom asked her what was she wanted to do and she said she wanted to keep her baby. Before her baby was born she thought she had everything planned out. Now that her baby is here she feels like she is just wasting her time sitting in the house. She says she wants to go back to work because she wants her own money but she can't. Before she graduated she was planning to go to college and then once she got pregnant and had the baby it's like everything set her back. She doesn't think her baby is a mistake but she doesn't feel like she could have waited.

Not So Easy

As I watched "The Baby Borrowers" today, I paid attention to how the teens reacted to the babies. No, I don't think the teens who say they are ready for parenthood are right because becoming a parent is a big responsibilty. Once you become a parent you must be patient with the baby, have some source of income, and have some type of experiences. Most teens feel like they are ready for parenthood because they really don't know what a frustrating job it good be. For example, Morgan got frustrated with her boyfriend when he kept trying to tell her how to wash the bottles out. Morgan then gave up and told him to do it hiself. Teens feel like all they have to do is feed the baby, change the baby, and give the baby a bath. Having a baby come with a lot of responsibies such as, taking the baby to doctors appointments, caring for them when sick, playing with them, making sure they eat when hungry, etc. While watching "The Baby Borrowers" I realized that most of the teens thought they were ready to be parents until their experiments with the babies.

Before I become a parent I want to have a good job and a stable home. I want to have a good job so that i can provide for my for my child. Providing for my child means having some where for us to stay, and making sure I can afford needs for my child such as, pampers, milk, and clothes. I want to have a stable home so that my child and I will feel comfortable.

Obama Quilt

In the Crfritz Art Center quilt 12 (War & Freedom: African American Veterans Hail the Commander-in-Chief ) stood out to me more because of the details. The red, white, and blue which represents the United States flag. The quilt also has letters from people, articles, and also mentions Amendent 15 which all caught my eye. On this quilt Carole also has pictures related to war and a article about Obama making history. Carole's message through her quilt basically states that our nation has overcome its struggles.(war, and segregation, etc.) For example, many years ago African Americans and Caucasians couldn't even attend the same schools, use the same bathroom, go to the same restaurant, or even live in the same neighborhood. Now African Americans and Caucasians are able to come together and attend the same schools, use the same bathroom, go to the same resraurants, and live in the same neighborhood. Obama becoming president has proven that our nation has really changed.

Related Thoughts

A popular culture song I find interesting is “Your Man Ain’t Me ” by Chris Brown because I can relate to Chris Brown’s thoughts of the girl leaving her boyfriend. I can relate to Chris Brown’s thought of the girl leaving her boyfriend because one time when I was going with this boy my ex boyfriend kept telling me “I don’t know why you with him and he probably cheating on you.” I kept telling my ex boyfriend well if he is I will find out. In the song Chris Brown is telling the girl she needs to leave her boyfriend because he isn’t treating her right. For example, “Hey girl, what’s up? You’ve been going through it huh? Yeah I know and I know your man ain’t been treating you right but…..your man ain’t me listen.” Another example, “Girl, I bet that he be actin’ all cocky like he deserves you, and you so lucky to be with him bet he treatin’ you rude always got an attitude like he’s the only dude made for you. But I bet he didn’t count on a little dude like me comin’ around (giving you things to think about cause I know whats up) Since he ain’t tryna step it up, don’t you think you should give him up? (Cause he ain’t wroth your love) Stop tripping I know you got a man but girl he slipping I can see myself getting’ in where I fit in." Chris Brown is telling the girl don’t love someone that doesn’t deserve you. He wants the girl to realize that her boyfriend is taking advantage of her by cheating on her and doing what he wants and still comes back to her. My ex boyfriend was basically telling me that the boy I was with didn’t really care about me but I never listen to him.
